A TH&TH Moment at the BAFTAs: Lou Sanders in the Taylor Dress
There are moments in this job where you look at your phone and have to do a small double-take. Sunday night was one of them.
Lou Sanders. On the BAFTA red carpet. In our Taylor Dress.
We are still, frankly, gathering ourselves.
For anyone who has spent any time in the TH&TH studio over the past year, this won't come as a surprise. Last One Laughing UK has been our tv obsession.
So when Last One Laughing took home the BAFTA for Entertainment at the 2026 Television Awards, held on Sunday 10 May at the Royal Festival Hall, and Bob Mortimer (a child hood hero of Louie's) won Entertainment Performance on the same night, we were over the moon. The show had been tipped to win for weeks; the UK press had been quietly building it as a sure thing. But seeing it actually happen, and seeing Lou up there with Harriet Kemsley and the rest of the cast, was a small, wonderful jolt of joy.
And then, the dress.
Lou wore the Taylor — and wore it the way Lou Sanders wears everything: with fun, mischief, and confidence. The thing we love most about her isn't just that she's funny (she is, devastatingly). It's that she is unmistakably herself.
Women who turn up to their own moment and have a good time in it. Women who make the room more interesting just by walking into it.
To Lou, to the Last One Laughing team, and to every comedian in this country quietly making us howl: congratulations. We're cheering very loudly from the studio.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we have a few more episodes to rewatch.
